The New Millennium Renaissance Scholars is a summer and ongoing leadership program offered by faculty from Duke University, North Carolina State University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Open to first generation and minority college students, in particular students from small colleges and Historically Black Colleges in North Carolina and Appalachia, The New Millennium Renaissance Scholars initiative supports students in the development of the whole person: mind, body, spirit, right and left brain.
Scholars work with faculty from The Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke, The UNC Parr Center for Ethics, The NCSU College of Design, Duke Integrative Medicine and other professors, staff and outside professionals.
The New Millennium Renaissance Scholars is a non-profit initiative of New Millennium Awakening, EIN 26-1654311, a tax exempt charitable and educational public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The first initiative of New Millennium Awakening was Find Rising Stars, a program designed to help minority students and students at small colleges connect with employers and find fulfilling jobs.
